Cuvu College kids show off their skills to Samu and the Classics
The Classics attended Cuvu College in Sigatoka today, running skills drills, playing games and distributing Classic Wallabies kit to over 250 kids.
The full touring squad of Classic Wallabies turned out for the event: Mitch Chapman, Sam Cordingley, Stephen Hoiles, Jimmy Holbeck, Rob Horne, Samu Kerevi, Stephen Moore, Patrick Phibbs, Beau Robinson, Radike Samo, Lote Tuqiri, Morgan Turinui.
The locals were delighted to meet the Wallaby greats, especially home-grown heroes Samu, Radike and Lote!
Current Wallaby Samu Kerevi enjoyed his first opportunity to tour with the Classic Wallabies.
“It’s good to be back home, see the parents and to be here at Cuvu College running a clinic for the kids.”
Kerevi relished the opportunity to be touring alongside the likes of Radike Samo and Lote Tuqiri.
“It’s crazy that we’re here now, giving back to the community, giving back to the country that birthed us and helped us get where we’ve got to.”
Kerevi and all the Classic Wallabies were impressed with the enthusiasm and talent on display at the school that Waisake Naholo attended as a child.
“It’s awesome to see the skills these kids have…every pass is sticking!”
